Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to ACPA.org.au. This agreement is between the Australian Clinical Psychologist Association (ACPA) and you as website visitor, for the use of this website. This Agreement includes any guidelines or rules posted and updated on this website by APA from time to time. By using the website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions agreement.

Ownership and Copyright

The website is owned by ACPA. You acknowledge that this website may contain information, communications, photos, text, video, graphics, images, and other material and services (content), which is generally provided by ACPA. You agree and acknowledge that the use of this site is protected by copyright (or any other applicable proprietary rights). You may not use any of the website content, in whole or in part.

Member Services and Membership platform

To obtain access to ACPA Member Service and Member Platform, you must be a current member of ACPA and insert your username and password. You agree that you will be responsible for maintaining your user account as confidential. You agree to immediately notify us if your account is lost or stolen, or if you become aware of an unauthorized use of your account. ACPA is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply.

You acknowledge and agree that ACPA may terminate your membership access if your membership is not renewed, cancelled or if ACPA believes that you have violated any provision of this agreement. You agree that any termination of your access to the membership services and membership platform shall not result in any liability or other obligation of ACPA to you.

Privacy Policy

View the ACPA Privacy Policy.  The terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy are hereby incorporated by reference herein.

Limitation of Liability

You understand and agree that ACPA shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data loss, or other losses.

Conduct

If you are authorized to use the ACPA membership platform and this permits you to upload, post, email, or otherwise transmit content, data, information, or other materials you will be responsible for all content that you upload, post, email, or otherwise transmit.

You are prohibited from placing any message or content which is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, profane, hateful, racial, ethnic, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including without limitation, any material that encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense. You agree and acknowledge that ACPA is not responsible or liable to you or any other party or user of the website for any prohibited conduct by you or any other party or user of the Site.

You may not

  • collect or store personal data of other users of the Site without the prior, written permission of such user(s).

  • directly or indirectly, intentionally disrupt or interfere with the website in any manner that may adversely affect ACPA or any user of the Site.

  • upload, post, email, or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses, or any other code, files, or programs designed or known to disable, interrupt, or limit the functionality of any computer hardware, computer software, or telecommunications equipment or facilities.
